OUR STORY

Shaw Squared is a Jazz, R&B, & Soul fusion duo from Memphis, TN, composed of multi-instrumentalist and vocalist Frank Shaw, and his wife, vocalist and trumpet player, Shayla Shaw. Frank, who began playing bass guitar at the age of two, gravitated to the Memphis music scene, where he met fellow musician, Shayla, developing a chemistry that led to marriage. In addition to working within various mutual ensembles, the Shaw’s shared similar passions in creating music, fellowship, as well as youth and community engagement opportunities; attributing them the nickname “Shaw Squared”, as they were often seen working on projects together. Shaw Squared relocated to Prescott, AZ shortly after uniting and has continued to share their passions for music and people with the surrounding communities, as they follow where their melody leads and forever love the journey.
